## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING TAXIED FOR TAKEOFF, THE CARGO SMOKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE NUMBER 1 FIRE BOTTLE WAS DISCHARGED INTO THE COMPARTMENT AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT. FOR ADDITIONAL SAFETY, THE PASSENGERS WERE DE-PLANED ONTO THE TAXIWAY USING THE MAIN CABIN DOOR AND STAIRS. CFR FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF FIRE OR SMOKE IN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT. MAINTENANCE CLEANED THE CANNON PLUG, REPLACED THE FIRE BOTTLE AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
