## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5) AIR NEW ZEALAND FLIGHT 0021 RECEIVED PUSH-BACK CLEARANCE FROM GATE 23, TERMINAL TWO, FROM LAX GROUND CONTROL. DURING PUSH-BACK THE RIGHT WINGLET OF NZ002A CAME INTO CONTACT, AND SHEARED OFF, TWO STATIC WICKS ON THE AFT SECTION OF THE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER OF A SOUTH WEST AIRLINES B-737, PARKED AT GATE 2, TERMINAL ONE. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO NZ002A. DAMAGE TO THE SOUTH WEST AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR, BOTH WICKS WERE REPLACED BY SOUTH WEST MAINTANCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
