## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 3-2-99 AT 11:30 PST, STUDENT PILOT , SHARON HANSON, STUDENT CERTIFICATE #EE2861350 ATTEMPTED A TAKE OFF FROM RUNWAY 25R AT LGB. DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLE THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE LEFT OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BY INDUCING RIGHT AILERON AND LEFT RUDDER. THIS ACCELERATED THE LEFT TURN AND THE AIRCRAFT LEFT THE RUNWAY MAKING CONTACT WITH THE VASI LIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON THE ADJACENT TAXI WAY HEADING NORTH. THERE WAS MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT THAT INCLUDEDTHE NOSE COWL AND PROPELLER. THE INVESTIGATION WAS TURNED OVER TO THE OPERATIONS SECTION FOR FOLLOW UP ACTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
