## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 1999, AN AERONCA 7AC, N81576, DEPARTED ON A VFR FLIGHT FROM WHITFORD'S AIRPORT IN WEEDSPORT, NY, TO OSWEGO COUNTY AIRPORT, FULTON, NY. APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF OSWEGO COUNTY AIRPORT, THE PILOT EXPERIENCED AN INTERRUPTION OF POWER AND MADE AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE OWNER/PILOT SECURED MAINTENANCE TO EXAMINE THE AIRCRAFT. MAINTENANCE COULD NOT FIND A CAUSE FOR THE LOSS OF POWER. THE PILOT RETURNED THE AIRCRAFT TO WHITFORD'S AIRPORT. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
