## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5) DURING FINAL APPROACH THE PILOT OF AIRCRAFT, N217AA, BE-35K, S/N D-6004, LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR AND HAD A GEAR DOWN INDICATION LIGHT. THE PILOT LOWERED THE FLAPS FOR A SHORT FIELD LANDING AND BECAUSE OF TURBULENT, CROSSWIND CONDITIONS, ADJUSTED THE FLAPS UP, AND LANDED GEAR UP ON THE RUNWAY. ON THIS PARTICULAR AIRCRAFT, THE FLAP AND LANDING GEAR SWITCHES ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
