## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(.4) WHILE ON A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT 12 MILES NORTH WEST OF HIS DESTINATION, THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THE ENGINE LOST POWER. HE MADE A FORCED LANDING IN A SWAMP. THE AIRPLANE SUBSEQUENTLY NOSED OVER DURING THE FORCED LANDING. NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRPLANE WERE REPORTED BY THE PILOT. THE PILOT DID NOT DEPART WITH FULL FUEL NOR DID HE PLAN AN ENROUTE REFUELING STOP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL99LA061](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL99LA061), Mar 29, 1999: Cessna 150J (N60476), Pembroke Pines, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate in-flight/planning decision and his mismanagement of the fuel supply.

## Other reports on N60476 (1)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
