## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON STAURDAY, APRIL 3, 1999 AT 1330 LOCAL, A CL-601 CHALLENGER AIRCRAFT, N888AZ, OPERATED BY TAUGHANNOCK AVIATION CORP., LOST FLUID IN THE #3 RESERVOIR. THERE WERE NO HYDRAULICS, SO THE CREW LOWERED THE GEAR MANUALLY AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 23 WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE FOUND THE HOSE FROM THE PRESSURE OUTLET #3A PUMP RUPTURED CAUSING THE LOSS OF FLUID AND REPLACED THE LINE. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
