## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT 19:58 LOCAL, N252AU ATTEMPTED A TAKEOFF ROLL AT 100 KNOTS, #1 ENGINE HAD LOUD BANG, FOLLOWED BY SMOKE AND FIRE. PILOT ABORTED TAKEOFF AND EXITED APPROXIMATELY 70 PASSENGERS THRU BOTH FORWARD DOORS. MINOR INJURIES TO 3 OR 4 PASSENGERS. MAINTENANCE MANAGER REPORTED THAT ENGINE WAS HIGH TIME. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
