## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON ARRIVAL AT AIRCRAFT, WITH ELECTRICAL MASTER ON-LEFT AND RIGHT FUEL QUANTITY INDICATORS INDICATED EMPTY. PHYSICAL EXAMINATION OF LEFT FUEL TANK INDICATED "NO FUEL" (ZERO). PHYSICAL EXAMINATION OF RIGHT FUEL TANK INDICATED APPROXIMATELY 1 INCH OF FUEL OR ZERO USABLE FUEL ON A DIP STICK PROVIDED BY THE PILOT. AIRCRAFT ENGINE DID START AND RUN ON THE GROUND. AIRCRAFT WAS ON A LOCAL SIGHT-SEEING FLIGHT AND SUFFICIENT FUEL WAS AVAILABLE FOR THE FLIGHT PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. HOWEVER, PILOT LOST TRACK OF FLIGHT TIME AND FUEL MISMANAGEMENT OCCURED. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
