## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MR. RHETT REPORTED DEPARTED MOBILE, AL DOWNTOWN AIRPORT (BFM) ON APRIL 30, 1999, FOR A DIRECT FLIGHT TO FOLEY, AL (5R4). THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED ON ROLL-OUT AFTER LANDING AT 5R4. MR. RHETT STATED HE DID NOT MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO RETRACT THE FLAPS. THIS INCIDENT WAS NOT REPORTED BECAUSE THE PIC (MR. RHETT) THOUGHT IT WAS UNNECESSARY SINCE NO ONE WAS HURT AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED ONLY MINOR DAMAGE. IT WAS ON MAY 10, 1999, WHEN MR. RHETT REQUESTED A FERRY PERMIT THAT WE DISCOVERED ANYTHING ABOUT THE INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED AND NO REASONABLE CAUSE WAS DETECTED FOR THE NOSE GEAR TO COLLAPSE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
