## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DOING HIGH SPEED TAXI TEST. AT APPROXIMATELY 30-35 KTS, 400 TO 500 FEET BEFORE THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY, BECAME AIRBORNE AND ELECTED TO TRY TO FLY AROUND RATHER THAN IMMEDIATELY LAND. NOSE WHEEL CAUGHT IN 2 FOOT HIGH ALFALFA AND AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER, ROTOR BLADE STRUCK GROUND 500 FEET FROM THE RUNWAY. ROTOR SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND CAME TO REST 150 FEET FROM INITIAL STRIKE POINT. AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO TUMBLE AND CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY 1000 FEET FROM THE DEPARTURE END OF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
