## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS PRACTICING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS WHEN THE ACFT CRASH-LANDED NEAR RWY 1/19, OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES ARE UNKNOWN. (-23) FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL KINCAID WAS PROVIDING INSTRUCTION TO PILOT JON WALTER IN N152WB. MR. WALTER WAS FLYING THE AIRCRAFT WHEN HE ATTEMPTED A LANDING ON RUNWAY 19 AT (COE). PILOT MICHAEL KINCAID STATED THAT THEY WERE ON FINAL, APPROXIMATELY 20 FEET ABOVE RUNWAY, WHEN THE AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED WIND GUST. HE THEN ATTEMPTED TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT BUT COULD NOT PREVENT THE AIRCRAFT FROM EXITING OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT THEN IMPACTED THE AIRPORT SEGMENTED CIRCLE AND WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED. BOTH PILOTS ESCAPED WITHOUT INJURY. POST ACCIDENT INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT REVEAL ANY EVIDENCE OF PREACCIDENT FLIGHT CONTROL FAILURE. WEATHER: AT 19:40 HOURS Z: WIND 230/08; SEVERAL THERMALS REPORTED IN AREA BEFORE LANDING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System.
