## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACFT WAS PERFORMING A HIGH SPEED TAXI WHEN IT CRASHED UNDER UNKNOWN CIRCUMSTANCES AND SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. (-23) ON MAY 17, 1999 A PILOT/OWNER WAS DEMONSTRATING THE TAXI CHARACTERISTICS OF HIS AIRCRAFT TO HIS FRIEND WHEN THE LEFT WING LIFTED. THE PILOT STATED THAT HIS PASSENGER MAY HAVE STEPPED ON THE BRAKE CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER OFF THE PAVEMENT INTO THE GRAS RESULTING IN BREAKING THE LANDING GEAR OFF. THIS RESULTED IN DAMAGING THE RIGHT WING AND PROPELLER. THE PILOT STATED THERE WAS NO INTENTION TO FLY AND NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED TO THE OCCUPANTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
