## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)ENROUTE FROM PONCA CITY, OK TO TAMPA FL, THE PIC HEARD A LOUD BANG. #2 ENGINE NEEDLES WERE NOT IN TH NORMAL RANGE. THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN, AND THE FIRE HANDLE WAS PULLED. THERE WAS NO FIRE INDICATION. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AT DALLAS, LOVE FIELD WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAKEN TO GULFSTREAM. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED. THE ENGINE WAS REMOVED AND SENT OUT FOR REPAIR/OVERHAUL. THE REPAIR STATION WAS NOTIFIED TO COMPLETE AN M&D FOR THIS PROBLEM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
