## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACFT DPARTED JQF FOR 2G1 ON 5/22/99 AT 2100 HOURS. PILOT MADE AN UNSUCCESSFUL APPROACH TO 2G1. THEN HE TRIED AN APPROACH TO CGF WHERE HE REPORTED HITTING TREES. ATC LOST TRANSPONDER CONTACT AND DIVERTED ACFT TO CLE WHERE IT CRASH LANDED ON RUNWAY 23R. THE PILOT AND THREE PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED. INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE NOSE GEAR DID NOT EXTEND AND THE ACFT CONTACTED THE RUNWAY ON ALL PROPELLER BLADES AND THE UNDERSIDE OF THE NOSE SECTION. ON THE RIGHT WING, THE LANDING LIGHT LENS WAS BROKEN AND THERE WERE SEVERAL DENTS ON THE LEADING EDGE BOTH INBOARD AND OUTBOARD OF THE RIGHT ENGINE. THE EXTENDED LEFT AND RIGHT MAIN GEARS HAD PIECES OF GREEN FOLIAGE ATTACHED. THE NOSE GEAR APPEARED TO BE JAMMED IN ITS WHEEL WELL. THE INBOARD UNDERSIDE OF THE RIGHT FLAP HAD A SIX INCH TEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
