## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT THE AIRPLANE ENGINE STARTED TO RUN ROUGH AT WHICH TIME HE PULLED THE CARB HEAT. AT THIS POINT THE PILOT WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY CHANGE THAT THE CARB HEAT APPLICATION HAD ON THE ENGINE. HE THEN ATTEMPTED TO LAND THE AIRPLANE IN A FIELD OF GRASS. THE AIPLANE FLIPPED OVER FORWARD ONTO IT'S TOP IN THE TALL GRASS. THE ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
