## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(.4) AFTER LANDING, THE PILOT APPLIED THE BRAKES AND EXPERIENCED NO BRAKING ACTION ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE AIRPLANE DEPARTED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, STRUCK A DITCH, NOSED OVER, AND CAME TO REST INVERTED. EXAMINATION OF THE LEFT BRAKE REVEALED THE BRAKE CALIPER WAS BROKEN AT THE FORWARD DOWEL PIN HOLE. (-23) THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 18 WHEN THE LEFT BRAKE FAILED. THE AIRCRAFT WENT OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY AND FLIPPED OVER. THE PILOT, THE SOLE OCCUPANT, SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIAL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
