## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N5126A WAS ON APPROACH TO SAN CARLOS AIRPORT, SAN CARLOS, CA, WHEN THE ENGINE STOPPED OPERATION. ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE ENGINE FAILED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED INVERTED 1/4 MILE FROM THE END OF RUNWAY 30. ALL FIVE PEOPLE WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE AIRCRAFT AND NO ONE WAS INJURED. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE EMPENNAGE AND THE NOSE GEAR FORK. ENGINE STOPPAGE WAS DUE TO FUEL STARVATION. THE PILOT HAS CONTRACTED FOR REMEDIAL INSTRUCTION WITH A CFI FOR ADDITIONAL TRAINING WITH EMERGENCY PROCEDURES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
