## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) MR. MILLER STATED HE HAD LOOKED AT THE FUEL TANK INDICATOR WHILE IN A TURN AND THE INDICATOR SHOWED ONE QUARTER, (1/4) TANK OF FUEL. AFTER LEVELING OFF A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AT 2000 FEET MSL THE ENGINE LOST POWER. HE THEN SWITCHED BACK TO THE TANK ORIGINALLY USED FOR TAKE OFF. THE ENGINE DID NOT CATCH AGAIN UNTIL JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOW3N. MR. MILLER THAN WAS TOO LOW AND SLOW TO RECOVER FROM THE FORCED LANDING. IN DISCUSSION WITH MR. MARLIN PERHUS, SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGER, IT WAS DECIDEED COUNSELING WOULD BE THE BEST FOR THE SITUATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
