## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT MADE HARD LANDING ON RW 16 @ DIA. LLWS WAS FORCAST AND PREVIOUS AIRCRAFT HAD REPORTED "A 20 KNOT LOSS AT 100 FEET". AIRCREW REPORTED "FLUCTUATIONS IN AIRSPEED ON FINAL TO RUNWAY 16". CAPTAIN STATED THAT THEY UPPED THE TARGET SPEED OF 141 TO 155 KTS. THEY ALSO TESTIFIED THAT THE AIRCRAFT MADE "A FIRM LANDING" AND THAT THE WINDSHEAR ALERT SOUNDED IN THE AIRCRAFT AFTER THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON THE GROUND. A HARD LANDING INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED WITH NO ANOMALIES FOUND. DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO BE COSMETIC WITH SOME CEILING PANELS AND PSU'S DISLODGED. UNITED AIRLINES HAS BEEN ASKED TO PROVIDE DATA TO COMPLETE BLOCKS 14 AND 31. THEY ALSO HAVE BEEN QUERIED AS TO SPECIFIC PASSENGER/CREW INJURIES AND DURATION OF HOSPITALIZATION. THIS INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING. (UA LATER REPORTED THAT 3 F/A AND 2 PASSENGERS WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR A "CHECK UP" AND RELEASED.)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
