## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NO PRELIMINARY ACCIDENT NARRATIVE AVAILABLE. (-23) ON SHORT FINAL, THE ENGINE LOST POWER. A HARD LANDING COLLAPSED THE RIGHT GEAR WHICH DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT. A GO-AROUND WAS INITIATED AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE PILOT MAY HAVE HAD THE FUEL MIXTURE IMPROPERLY ADJUSTED. (.4) THE PILOT WAS ON FINAL APPROACH TO LAND WHEN THE ENGINE LOST POWER. THE PILOT LANDED HARD ON THE 1,000 FEET LONG BY 50 FEET WIDE ULTRALIGHT RUNWAY. THE CONTROL YOKE SUPPORT TUBE, AND AILERON CONTROL CABLES WERE DAMAGED. IT WAS THE PILOT'S FIRST FLIGHT IN THE EXPERIMENTAL, KIT BUILT AIRPLANE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
