## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACFT LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND, AND THE ACFT LANDED GEAR UP IN THE GRASS NEXT TO THE RWY. (-5)MR. BRAUMILLER, A STUDENT PILOT, WAS ON A SOLO TRAINING FLIGHT FROM WAGONER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT WITH INTENTION OF LANDING AT WAGONER MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. HE SAID, WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR, THE MECHANICAL CRANKING MECHANISM TURNED FREELY IN BOTH THE EXTEND AND RETRACT DERECTIONS WITHOUT HAVING ANY EFFECT. THE LANDING GEAR REMAINED RETRACTED. MR. BRAUMILLER STATED THAT HE MADE THE LANDING ON THE GRASS AREA ADJACENT TO THE PAVED RUNWAY. THE PROPELLER BLADES WERE BENT, BUT THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR OTHER PROPERTY. THERE WAS NO FIRE, AND NO INJURIES. WHEN THE LANDING GEAR MECHANISM IS INSPECTED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
