## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT REPORTED HE GOT DISTRACTED WHEN APPROACHING ARCATA AIRPORT. HORIZON COMMUTER ON DOWNWIND, ADVISED THAT HE DID NOT HAVE CESSNA 441 VISUAL. IN THE ATTEMPT TO MAKE CESSNA 441 MORE VISIBLE, PILOT EXTENDED LANDING AND TAXI LIGHTS AND PROCEEDED WITH NORMAL PROCEDURES FOR LANDING, EXCEPT THAT HE DID NOT SELECT GEAR DOWN. THIS CONDITION WAS ONLY DISCOVERED WHEN THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ON THE RUN WAY. HORN OPERATIONAL CHECK WERE OK, BEFORE THE FLIGHT AND AFTER GEAR UP LANDING. COPIES OF THIS REPORT ARE BEING FORWARDED TO OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR AND SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGER FOR CONSIDERATIONS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
