## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED RWY 28, HAD INDICATION OF SMOKE IN THE CARGO AREA, DECLARED EMERGENCY, LANDED RWY 28. MAINTENANCE STATED THAT THE HOT HUMID WEATHER GIVES A FALSE INDICATION. MAINTENANCE REPLACED BOTH SMOKE SENSORS AND RETURNED TO SERVICE. SMOKE SENSORS WERE REPLACED WITH PART #72-111211-000 WITH MOD. A INCORPORATED. THE SENSORS THAT WERE REMOVED DID NOT HAVE MOD. A INCORPORATED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
