## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED WHEN THE PILOT SELECTED GEAR UP AND DID NOT ALLOW THE PILOT TO EITHER RETRACT OR EXTEND THE GEAR. THE LIGHTS WERE ALSO RENDERED INOP. THE PILOT TRIED TO RESET THE BREAKER UNSUCCESSFULLY. THE FAI TOWER CONFIRMED THAT THE GEAR WAS DOWN BUT THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM THAT THE NOSE GEAR WAS LOCKED. THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED ON LANDING. THE A/C HAD BEEN WRITTEN UP FOR THE BREAKER POPPING 3 DAYS EARLIER. THE BREAKER WAS REPLACED AT THAT TIME AND THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO GO AWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
