## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 07/19/99 DC-3, N8021Z, AFTER IN-FLIGHT SHUT DOWN OF THE RIGHT ENGINE LANDED ON DFW RUNWAY 17L. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED ON TO THE TAXIWAY BUT WAS UNABLE TO TAXI ANY FURTHER DUE TO A REPORTED BRAKE PROBLEM. THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOCATED IN SUCH A POSITION THAT IT BLOCKED THE RUNWAY FOR USE OF JET TRAFFIC WHICH IMPEDED TRAFFIC FLOW INTO DFW AIRPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
