## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT HAD LOAD OF DAMP FERTILIZER (APPROXIMATELY 3,800 POUNDS) WHEN A TAKEOFF WAS ATTEMPTED WITH AN OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE OF APPROXIMATELY 95 DEGREES F. THE AIRCRAFT CLEARED A 12 INCH RISE AT THE END OF A 2,500' LONG RUNWAY, HOWEVER, THE MAIN WHEELS CONTACTED THE TOP INCH OF A SOFT VINYL 10 INCH DIAMETER IRRIGATION PIPE THAT WAS ON THE GROUND ADJACENT TO A COTTON FIELD. WITHIN 2' OF THE IRRIGATION PIPE WAS A COTTON FIELD WITH COTTON PLANTS ABOUT 4 FEET TALL. THE MAIN WHEELS AND PROPELLER TRAVELED THROUGH ABOUT 2,000' OF THIS COTTON BEFOR THE AIRCRAFT SLOWE, DRAGGED A WING IN THE COTTON, AND ROLLED OVER AND CAME TO REST INVERTED. THE PILOT STATED HE ATTEMPTED TO DUMP THE FERTILIZER, BUT IT WAS TOO DAMP/ADHESIVE TO EXIT THE HOPPER IN TIME.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
