## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACFT GROUND-LOOPED ON LANDING AND RAN OFF THE RWY. (-23)LANDING APPROACH WAS NORMAL. TOUCHED DOWN, RIGHT WING LIFTED, TOUCHED DOWN AGAIN STARTED TO SWERVE RIGHT. A/C DEPARTED RUNWAY (MISSED RUNWAY EDGE LIGHTS) WITH BOTH MAINS SKIDDING. LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED (BOTH TO RIGHT SIDE OF A/C) WHEN TIRES LEFT PAVEMENT AND UNCOUNTERED DIRT AT RUNWAY EDGE. PROPELLER MARKS AND RIGHT MAIN SKID MARKS IN DIRT ARE CO-LOCATED INDICATING SKID ANGLE APPROXIMATELY 35-40 DEGREES FROM A/C CENTERLINE. NO POST FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA99LA128](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA99LA128), Jul 24, 1999: Globe GC-1B (N80622), Spokane, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control. A related factor was the pilot's lack of experience in tailwheel aircraft.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
