## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 26, 1999 ON A PERSONAL PART 91 FLIGHT FROM VAN BUREN, AR TO OSHKOSH, WI, A TIM HAZELWOOD SEAREY, N353TH, PILOTED BY THE AIRCRAFT OWNER, A PRIVATE PILOT, SEL/SES RATED, MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT ORION, IL AFTER A PIECE OF EXHAUSE STACK BROKE OFF AND WAS STUCK BY THE PUSHER PROPELLER, DAMAGING A PROP BLADE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT, NO DAMAGE, NO FIRE, NO INJURIES. AFTER LANDING, IT WAS DISCOVERED THE EXHAUST STACK HAD BROKEN IN THE HEADER AREA. UPON THE STACKS DEPARTURE FROM THE ENGINE, IT STRUCK THE COMPOSITE PROPELLER AND SEVERELY BROKE ONE OF THE THREE BLADES; HOWEVER, THE DAMAGED BLADE DID NOT DEPART THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY FURTHER DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
