## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 08/01/99 EDWARD P. GERARD HOLDER OF CERTIFICATE #513487105 WAS LANDING RUNWAY 17 IN A PIPER PA-24-250 (N5359P) AT THE STANTON COUNTY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT IN JOHNSON, KS., WHEN THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED ON ROLLOUT. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE SELECTED THE GEAR DOWN, HAD A GEAR DOWN INDICATOR LIGHT, FELT THE GEAR TOUCH AND IT COLLAPSED ON ROLLOUT. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED & THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. THE PILOT LATER DISCOVERED THE LANDING GEAR MOTOR CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
