## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING CLIMB OUT, GEAR RETRACTED NORMAL; HOWEVER, LANDING GEAR RED INTRANSIT LIGHTS DID NOT GO OUT. PILOT ELECTED TO RETURN TO MCI AND LOWERED GEAR. ALL THREE GEAR INDICATED GREEN, DOWN AND LOCKED. AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND AN EMERGENCY WAS NOT DECLARED. DURING GEAR RETRACTION CHECKS ON THE GROUND, MAINTENANCE AT MCI DETERMINED THAT THE GEAR HANDLE MICRO SWITCHES HAD MALFUNCTIONED. AFTER THE GEAR HANDLE SWITCHES WERE CLEANED, MULTIPLE RETRACTION CHECKS DID NOT REPEAT THE PROBLEM. THE A/C WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. WITH THIS REPORT, INCIDENT #CE99IAC0083 IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
