## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

UNREGISTERED ULTRALIGHT CRASHED UNDER UNKNOWN CIRCUMSTANCES. (-23) MR. TURMAN EXPERIENCED A POWER LOSS IN ONE OF THE CYLINDERS IN HIS BOMBARDIER ROTAX ENGINE. HE PROCEEDED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING, BUT STRUCK A POWER LINE ON DESCENT. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, AND MR. TURMAN HAD MINOR INJURIES TO HIS RIGHT ARM. MR. TURMAN OPERATED AN EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT WHICH WAS NOT CERTIFICATED AND REGISTERED AS PER FARS. ADDITIONALLY, MR. TURMAN IS NOT AN FAA CERTIFICATED AIRMAN AND DOES NOT HOLD A CURRENT MEDICAL AS REQUIRED BY THE FAR'S.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
