## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 8/22/99, AT APPROXIMATELY 1512 CDT, CAPTAIN PETE WILLIS THE APPROPRIATELY RATED PILOT IN COMMAND, STARTED TO TAXI TO THE RUNWAY FOR TAKEOFF. ABOUT 1/2 WAY TO THE RUNWAY THE PIC DID NOT THINK THE AIRCRAFT FELT RIGHT AND ABOUT THE SAME TIME ANOTHER AIRCRAFT ON A PARALLEL TAXIWAY NOTICED THE LEFT OUTBOARD TIRE SPINNING ON THE WHEEL AND THE WHEEL NOT TURNING. THE PIC STOPPED THE AIRCRAFT AND GROUND PERSONNEL CONFIRMED THE LEFT OUTBOARD TIRE TO BE FLAT. ALL PASSENGERS WERE DEPLANED AND BUSSED TO THE TERMINAL WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED BACK TO THE GATE. MAINTENANCE PERSONAL REPLACED BOTH LEFT MAIN WHEELS ASSEMBLIES, CHECKED THE LEFT BRAKE AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
