## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INCIDENT FLIGHT WAS A STUDENT PILOT'S FIRST SOLO FLIGHT IN A CESSNA 152. AFTER COMPLETING ONE PATTERN TO A SUCCESSFUL LANDING AND SUBSEQUENT TAKEOFF THE STUDENT FLARED LATE ON LANDING AND BOUNCED, PORPOISING THE AIRCRAFT. DURING THE PORPOISE HE LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND DEPARTED THE PREPARED RUNWAY SURFACE. THE AIRCRAFT IMPACTED A RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT AND A TAXIWAY LIGHT AND CAME TO A STOP APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET TO THE LEFT OF THE RUNWAY SURFACE IN THE GRASS. THERE WAS A CUT IN THE NOSE TIRE AND NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
