## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATES HE WAS ON A CROSS COUNTRY FLIGHT FROM MESA, AZ TO IDAHO WHEN BOTH ENGINES STOPPED. HE "DEAD STICKED" THE AIRCRAFT INTO A SAFE LANDING AT NEPHI, UT. THE "AUX" TANKS WERE DRY. THE MAIN TANKS HAD APPROXIMATELY 38 GALLONS TOTAL FUEL LEFT. THE PILOT SUSPECTS FUEL CONTAMINATION AT FALCONAIR IN MESA, AZ. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF FUEL CONTAMINATION. ACCORDING TO THE PILOTS STATEMENT HE WAS USING FUEL FROM THE AUX TANKS WHEN THE SECOND ENGINE FAILED. THE FUELER AT NEPHI CONFIRMED THE AUX TANKS WERE EMPTY. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
