## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATES HE WAS VECTORED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 17, THEN CLEARED FOR A LEFT BASE ON RUNWAY 14. HE STATES THE WIND SHIFTED AND HE EXPERIENCED A SEVERE DOWNDRAFT THAT REQUIRED FULL ELEVATOR. UPON LANDING, HE NOTICED THE LEFT GEAR LIGHT WAS OUT. HE SAID STRONG CROSSWINDS CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO FISHTAIL. HE WAS UNABLE TO NEGOTIATE THE TURN OFF THE RUNWAY AND WENT INTO THE OVERRUN FOR RUNWAY 17. HE CHECKED THE LEFT GEAR LIGHT AND IT ILLUMINATED. HE THEN TAXIED TO THE RAMP. THE LEFT BRAKE DRUM, SHOW, AND TIRE WERE REPLACED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
