## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED HE CAME INTO DIPSITE (WATER POND) WITH "BAMBI" BUCKET ON BELLY HOOK. HE FILLED BUCKET ON BELLY HOOK AND HAD CLEARED BOTTOM OF BUCKET BY ABOUT 2 TO 5 FEET. AIRCRAFT HAD SUDDEN YAW AND ENGINE AUDIO AND ENGINE OUT LIGHT ACTIVATED. LOW ROTOR RPM WARNING ALSO ACTIVATED. FULL COLLECTIVE PITCH WAS INITIATED AND AIRCRAFT SETTLED INTO WATER IN LEVE ATTITUDE. AIRCRAFT FILLED WITH WATER AND ROLLED ON LEFT SIDE IN ABOUT 6 FEET OF WATER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
