## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC99LA136](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC99LA136), Sep 2, 1999: Piper PA-18 (N9130D), Cordova, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to avoid obstructions during takeoff. A factor associated with this accident was the high brush along the river bank.

## Other reports on N9130D (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19790827023709A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19790827023709A), Aug 27, 1979: Piper PA18 (N9130D), Valdez, AK, Substantial damage. Flew into blind canyon, low ceiling, low fuel. Precautionary landing downhill onroad. Hit guard rail.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
