## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED AFTER SKYDIVERS EXITED THE AIRCRAFT, HE BEGAN DESCENT FOR LANDING AT 77S. AT APPROX. 2000 FEET THE ENGINE LOST POWER. PILOT MADE THE DECISION THAT THE AIRCRAFT COULD NOT REACH THE AIRPORT AND ELECTED TO MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING IN A PASTURE. AS THE AIRCRAFT WAS ROLLING OUT, THE RIGHT WING TIP STRUCK A METAL FENCE POST AND RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. POST INCIDENT INVESTIGATION REVEALED A SMALL DENT IN THE ENGINE COWLING ON THE LEFTHAND SIDE. A SMALL DING WAS ALSO NOTED ON ONE PROPELLER BLADE, NO OTHER DAMAGE NOTED. THIS INSPECTOR IS PRESENTLY WAITING ON STATEMENTS FROM THE PILOT AND THE AIRCRAFT OWNER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
