## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS LEADING A FORMATION FLIGHT OF FOUR AIRCRAFT. AFTER LANDING AND MAKING A 180 DEGREE TURN TO BACK-TAXI TO EXIT THE RUNWAY, PILOT WAS DISTRACTED AND WHILE REACHING FOR WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS THE FLAP CONTROL, GRABBED THE GEAR HANDLE BY MISTAKE AND THE LANDING GEAR WAS RETRACTED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE WING TIP AND RIGHT OUTBOARD PORTION OF THE FLAP AS WELL AS DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
