## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SEPTEMBER 16, 1999, AT APPROXIMATELY 1925 HOURS, PILOT RICHARD LEE MARNACH MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING IN A SUBWAY RESTAURANT PARKING LOT AREA DUE TO A HIGH OIL TEMP INDICATION. UPON CHECKING THE OIL, MR. MARNACH ADDED ABOUT 3/4 OF A QUART, RECHECKED HIS OIL AND DETERMINED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS SAFE TO FLY BACK TO LAKE ELMO AIRPORT. THERE WAS ONE PASSENGER ABOARD THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
