## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) UPON LANDING THE NOSE WHEEL ASSEMBLY FAILED AT THE ATTACHMENT POINT WITH THE OLEO STRUT. THAT FAILURE CAUSED THE NOSE TO FALL RESULTING IN PROPELLER STRIKES AND A SLIDE OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED THE SOFT DIRT OFF THE RUNWAY EDGE, IT FLIPPED OVER COMING TO REST INVERTED. NO INJURIES TO THE ONLY OCCUPANT. THERE WAS SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO BOTH WINGS SPARS, STRUTS, RUDDER AND VERTICAL STABILIZER, ENGINE AND NOSE WHEEL ATTACHMENT. LAST ANNUAL INSPECTION COMPLETED SEPTEMBER 2, 1999.
