## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PULL OUT OF THE GATE ON TIME FLT. 7229, IAD -ORF. WE TOOK OFF AND WAS IN A CLIMB TO 3000 WHEN A LOUD BANG HAPPENED, AFTER THAT WE EXPERIENCED A STRONG VIBRATION OF WHICH WE HAD NO IDEA OF WHAT WAS CAUSING IT. OUR FIRST THOUGHTS WERE THE LAV DOOR CAME OFF. WE CONTACTED DISPATCH AND RETURNED BACK TO IAD. AFTER SHOT DOWN WE SAW THE LEFT DEICER BOOT ON ONE OF THE BLADES WAS OFF, HITTING THE SIDE OF THE CABIN CAUSING THE VIBRATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
