## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)DURING A LOW LEVEL SIGHTSEEING FLIGHT, THE ENGINE BEGAN SPUTTERING AND QUIT. THE PILOT WANTED TO LAND AT THE LEXINGTON AIRPORT, BUT WAS TOO LOW, AND APPARENTLY SELECTED A ROAD TO LAND ON. THE AIRPLANE TOUCHED IN AN OPEN, PLOWED FIELD,TRAVELING PERPENDICULAR TO THE ROAD IN A RIGHT BANK AT A HIGH RATE OF DESCENT. IT APPARENTLY CARTWHEELED TO THE RIGHT, TURNED 180 DEGREES, AND SLID TO A STOP BACKWARDS, ALL IN ABOUT 60 FEET. THERE WAS VERT LITTLE FUEL SPILLED AT THE SIGHT, ONLY ONE FUEL TANK WAS STILL INTACT, AND IT WAS ABUT 2/3 FULL. THE AIRCRAFT APPARENTLY STALLED BEFORE IMPACT AND HIT VERY HARD ON THE NOSE AND RIGHT WING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
