## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRMAN HAD REMOVED FLOATS AND INSTALLED WHEELS ON AIRCRAFT. HE WAS DOING T&G/STOP&G TAKE OFF AND LANDINGS FOR CURRENCY ON WHEELS. HIS FOURTH LANDING THE AIRCRAFT WENT TO THE RIGHT AND OFF THE RUNWAY AND NOSED UP WITH PROP STRIKE. NO OTHER DAMAGE TO A/C. AIRMAN SUSPECTS HAD TOO MUCH RIGHT BRAKE AND HAPPENED SO FAST HE LOST IT. THIS AIRPORT HAS RECENTLY BEEN PAVED AND AIRMAN ADMITS HE SHOULD HAVE TRIED GRAVEL FOR A FEW LANDINGS BEFORE TRYING THE HARD SURFACE FOR CURRENCY. AFTER ENGINE IS REBUILT AMN PLANS TO GET AN INSTRUCTOR FOR CHECK OUT AND THEN THE FAA SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGER WILL GIVE HIM A COURTESY CHECK RIDE. AMN VOLUNTEERED FOR THIS ACTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
