## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING THE FIRST TAKE-OFF OF THE DAY, THE AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO LACK THE POWER TO OBTAIN A POSITIVE RATE DURING ROTATION. THE TAKE-OFF WAS ABORTED. DURING THE ROLL-OUT, THE AIRCRAFT CROSSED AN INTERSECTING RUNWAY AND COLLIDED WITH A SIGN. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED SIDEWAYS AND CAME TO REST WITH THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. ACCORDING TO STATEMENTS FROM MR. BAUGH, THE AIRCRAFT OWNER. MR. ASH, REPLACED SOME OF THE SPARK PLUGS THE PREVIOUS EVENING DUE TO A BAD MAGNETO CHECK. AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE CAUSE OF THE LACK OF POWER IS ONGOING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
