## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE CESSNA 150 PILOT REPORTED HIS ENGINE QUIT DURING CRUISE WHILE DESCENDING FROM 7,500 FEET. HE WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE AND MADE A SAFE LANDING ON OLD HIGHWAY 30. THREE HOURS LATER AFTER CONTACTING THE STATE POLICE, HE WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE AND TAXI THE AIRCRAFT TO A NEAR BY TOWN. MAINTANANCE PERSONNEL HAVE SINCE INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY OF THE ASSOCIATED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS RELATED TO THE ENGINE QUITTING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
