## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATED THAT THE A/C LOST POWER DURING THE DESCENT AFTER COMPLETING A PARACHUTE DROP. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE DURING THE DESCENT, BUT LOST POWER AGAIN ON DOWNWIND FOR LANDING. THE A/C CRASHED SHORT OF THE RUNWAY AFTER THE PILOT ATTEMPTED AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT THE AIRPORT. THERE APPEARED TO BE SUFFICIENT FUEL IN THE A/C'S TANK DURING THE INVESTIGATION. THE A/C ENGINE WAS RAN AFTER THE ACCIDENT AND PERFORMED NORMALLY THROUGHOUT ALL PARAMETERS. IT IS SUSPECTED THAT THE FUEL MAY HAVE UNPORTED FROM THE MAIN FUEL LINE DURING A STEEP DESCENT WITH SPEED BRAKES DEPLOYED AND CAUSED FUEL STARVATION TO THE ENGINE.
