## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N910PG, OPERATED AS TRANSMERIDIAN FLIGHT 342, LANDED IN LINCOLN, NE, AFTER A FLIGHT FROM AUSTIN, TX. THE PILOT STATED THE DEPARTURE AND FLIGHT WERE UNEVENTFUL. ON APPROACH TO LINCOLN, AFTER THE GEAR WAS DOWN, THE LST OFFICER HEARD A THUD. AFTER LANDING THE NOSE GEAR STARTED A SEVERE VIBRATION AT 70 KNOTS. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT STARTED VEERING TO THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, THE CREW SAW SOMETHING FLY FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP AT A SIXTY DEGREE ANGLE TO THE RUNWAY WITH THE NOSE GEAR COCKED 45 DEG. THE CREW WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY. THE NOSE GEAR PIN WAS FOUND APPROXIMATELY 40 FEET FROM THE AIRCRAFT. FOLLOW-UP INVESTIGATION SHOWED THE NOSE GEAR INDICATION TORQUE TUBE BENT, AND RIM WAS DAMAGED BY THE SCISSORS BEING JAMMED AGAINST IT. INVESTIGATION ALSO SHOWED THE NOSE GEAR APEX PIN IF INSERTED PROPERLY WOULD HAVE SECURED THE SCISSOR LINK. THE AIR CARRIER ADVISED THE CHDO THAT THEY REVISED PROCEDURES FOR CONTRACT GROUND HANDLING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
