AFTER TAKING OFF WITH NUMEROUS OTHER BALOONS, THE WIND VELOCITY INCREASED. DURING THE LANDING PHASE, THE PILOT SAW A SINGLE-STRAND POWERLINE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE FABRIC AND THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OR HIS PASSENGER. THE AIRCRAFT IS REGISTERED TO MARY ANN BOWIE, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MR. BOWIE HOLDS A PRIVATE PILOT CERTIFICATE (#466702648). MR. BOWIE WAS COUNSELED BY THE ABQ FSDO SPM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
